No man, no country is an island. WE all like to think otherwise - you know the feeling … invincible youth … that we can all do it on our own, that independence is a great thing, but the truth is, sometimes, actually, more often than not, and when the need is most great, everyone looks to someone else for a helping hand. It is that kind of world, that kind of harsh reality. It is nature, folks, and we have to deal with it.
For those of you who suffer injustice in Scotland – there are many, and increasing in number, the need for assistance and the overwhelming desire to overcome a predicament you and your family have been placed in by others, is a natural and reasonable expectation.
But, as we have so often seen in our laws, in our public bodies, the justice system and the courts, all presented to us as saviours to overcome such problems, these institutions do not actually work, at least not in our favour.
We are constantly told it will change. It never does. Never. Review after review .. all just lies. Years later the same promises of change never materialise.
A baby dies in a hospital, it is covered up – many times over. A family loses a business, are tossed out of their home by a greedy bank, and a lawyer ends up with everything for a pittance, no one gets to find out. A political party donor or hospitality provider is awarded a megabucks public contract after a nod and a wink, and then some regulatory body is brought in to rubber stamp the motion as honest and above board. In reality it has all the sleaze of a drugs deal.
And what of the big name high ranking heads of these institutions given £100’s of millions a year to uphold the law or run the courts.
Well, it turns out they would rather sit down to dinner & sword dances with dictators and lap up a gold watch and an offshore fiddle, than sit down and do what is necessary to help a family out of poverty, or put someone’s life back in order after it has been mangled by the system.
This, is Scotland. It could, be you.
Today, it is your choice, your voice, and your vote. So use it wisely. Think. Don’t be bullied by vested interests. However you decide to vote, you have the right to decide for yourself. And, whatever you decide, good luck to us all.

Have a good indy ref!
Thought you would end up writing something about independence!and you are right what you say about all these crooks doing as they want.
Nothing will ever change in Scotland all the promises are as you say just lies to fool us.
Thanks.

Exactly!!
You give everyone a kicking and deservedly so.I admit I voted Yes in the referendum but I can admit under your Anonymous posts the Scottish National Party are rubbish on justice and the legal system.
MacAskill must go.Any thoughts on his replacement?
Hey Peter good one as always!!
You will be able to fly that falcon of yours in peace and quiet if we give England their independence tomorrow!!
Long live Scotland!!
Totally agree with you Peter, nothing will change these people at the top do not care about anyone other than themselves its all about money.
Everyone who visits this site will know exactly what you have stated in this article , We have seen very clearly how the "establishment" operates the manipulation of our "FREE PRESS" and the "IMPARTIAL" tv news media more than likely guided behind the scenes by an overpaid lawyer, which all of us have indirectly paid for and its for this reason and this reason only I hope it completely backfires on them and tells them they can be beaten.

None of the usual suspects or those who spring from the legal profession .. there are a few good people who could do a much better job than Mr MacAskill ... Alex Neil for one, a few others come to mind ...

Goshawk ... not falcon, and yes, long live Scotland!

Which is exactly why anyone who has dealings with any form of regulator or a complaint with a public body should go to the media.
View it as a civic duty, to protect yourselves and the community at large ...
Anyone in public life who abuses public trust or puts Scots in a position of unrecoverable injustice should be named, shamed and out of a job, no argument, no ifs no buts and no sleekit off the books £100K+ golden goodbyes.

Thanks. These are the breaks of working without editors or bowing to those in public bodies who try to plant stories in the media ...

ABSOLUTELY AGREE 1000000%
Well done Scotland!
SNP spent too much time using the system to their own advantage instead of changing it.You have said this yourself many times just look at MacAskill and how he has always ruled in favour of the lawyers.
Anyway lets get on with more on the judges please!
I told people outside my poling station I would not help Mr Salmond become King of Scotland. I said his patry's role of running the country hides the fact but he is a Law Society front for injustice towards the people of Scotland.
He has regigned, Lawyer Sturgeon becaome the new First Minister of injustice acting for the unelected Law Society of Scotland.
Glad you failed Miss Sturgeon to get independence but on the plus side you will get Eck's job. You have won and lost at the same time, unlike the corrupt legal establishment who fleece clients and the taxpayer out of millions and get off scot free.
Well I am happy it is all over now and we can get on with the real job again sorting out all these public services you rightly describe as being all for themselves and against us when things go wrong. The SNP have been in long enough to end all this but they didnt.Very poor really just another bunch of politicians handing millions to the quango/public body set to screw us around and they are making money doing it.There should be a full investigation into all the money wasted on this independence campaign think what it could have done for people.

New FM will not be a plus ...
@ 20 September 2014 20:48
Like ... an investigation & full disclosure on how many were paid via Ltd companies, tax efficient schemes and unregistered donations ... on both sides ?
You dont think Salmond resigning is a good move or you dont think Sturgeon will be a good FM??
Probably the best post I have ever read on the indy debate!
yea as I was sayin good thing you stayed with the United Kingdom instead of listening to fools who wont change a thing and you are right cause nothing changes!
great blog btw you have a heck of a way of writing and telling the truth just watch out for the usual Scottish way of stabbing peeps in the back who really want to change things for better
