Although the police had clearly and blatantly broken the human rights act and didn't have a leg to stand on legally (there was no crime committed), not a single solicitor was willing to take up the case.

It seems to me Scots law still lives in a time when the English rulers wanted a legal system to "squash the rebellious Scots" and we are not living under a 21st century legal system, not ever 20th or 19th but 18th century law.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20722989.post-56937046867048217682008-01-14T00:43:00.000+00:002008-01-14T00:43:00.000+00:00#Anonymous @ 6.42pmSorry I didn't reply earlier.Yo...#Anonymous @ 6.42pm

Sorry I didn't reply earlier.

Your case sounds interesting, and as I see others have already commented, it wouldn't be too unusual for your lawyer to be in cahoots with the Bank Manager ... I think there has been a bit of stealing going on to say the least and the Bank manager at the Branch called us this afternoon late to ask us not to make any trouble and he would see things were sorted out. I don't believe him at all after reading what happened to you and all these other people and I think the Law Society will just gloss over our complaint.

I would like to contact you please.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20722989.post-6639434593105562032008-01-11T15:39:00.000+00:002008-01-11T15:39:00.000+00:00I saw your comments in the Scotsman on the cops be...I saw your comments in the Scotsman on the cops being appointed to this new lawyers complaints body.Completely agree its another fit up just to get lawyers off the hook.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20722989.post-29007125275967857572008-01-10T22:08:00.000+00:002008-01-10T22:08:00.000+00:00I agree this issue must be one of the most divisiv...I agree this issue must be one of the most divisive between the public and the legal profession and no one should be in any doubt about how far the Law Society will go to protect its position and the "Master Policy" from people such as yourself who have been hard done by solicitors.

I suggest the Master Policy as it is should be scrapped and all legal firms allowed to find their own insurance, then having to advertise who they are insured by and the full terms of their policy to all clients.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20722989.post-71555102151370507042008-01-10T16:20:00.000+00:002008-01-10T16:20:00.000+00:00I will send you a copy of the Law Society response...I will send you a copy of the Law Society response another journalist passed to me who indended to write a story about the Master Policy. The Editor was called privately and warned not to publish the story by (guess who)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20722989.post-58188165635078550682008-01-10T15:05:00.000+00:002008-01-10T15:05:00.000+00:00I don't think we can beat the Cherbi machine on th...I don't think we can beat the Cherbi machine on this one.How about someone get an ounce of sense and pay these people off so we can get back to work.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20722989.post-71180628252334714842008-01-09T19:50:00.000+00:002008-01-09T19:50:00.000+00:00Defending the Master Policy would be "Mission Impo...Defending the Master Policy would be "Mission Impossible" only this time it is impossible.

Well written report Mr Cherbi.Keep it up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20722989.post-5813566934727457972008-01-09T19:39:00.000+00:002008-01-09T19:39:00.000+00:00Easy to see why ex insurance boy Bill Aitken and h...Easy to see why ex insurance boy Bill Aitken and his torag friends support lawyers monopoly and fuck the client policy. All about money. Are this lot giving subs to the torags too?

What about Kenny MacAskill?
